The Roadside stand that allowed <a href=\"https:\/\/mitisart.com\">Miti<\/a> Taufa to sell his Polynesian wood carving to support his family of eight was given a Notice of Violation. DPP issued a Notice of Violation on February 17, 2022 to remove his tent canopy and ez corners that he used for sun and rain sheltering.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"769\" src=\"https:\/\/countrytalkstory.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-16-at-1.52.43-AM-1024x769.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1802\" srcset=\"http:\/\/countrytalkstory.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-16-at-1.52.43-AM-1024x769.png 1024w, http:\/\/countrytalkstory.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-16-at-1.52.43-AM-470x353.png 470w, http:\/\/countrytalkstory.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-16-at-1.52.43-AM-768x577.png 768w, http:\/\/countrytalkstory.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-16-at-1.52.43-AM-1536x1154.png 1536w, http:\/\/countrytalkstory.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Screen-Shot-2022-03-16-at-1.52.43-AM-2048x1538.png 2048w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the State of Hawaii Revised Statutes Section 205-12, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capitol.hawaii.gov\/hrscurrent\/vol04_ch0201-0257\/hrs0205\/HRS_0205-0002.htm\">Ag Zoned<\/a> properties can also have wind turbines, bio-fuel production, aquaculture, Geothermal resource explorations and so forth. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Miti&#8217;s farm added value would fall under the (A) category for value-added enterprises: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(A) A <strong>roadside stand <\/strong>that is not an enclosed structure, owned and operated by a producer for the display and sale of agricultural products grown in Hawaii and value-added products that were produced using agricultural products grown in Hawaii; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(B) Retail activities in an enclosed structure owned and operated by a producer for the display and sale of agricultural products grown in Hawaii, value-added products that were produced using agricultural products grown in Hawaii, logo items related to the producer&#8217;s agricultural operations, and other food items; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(C) A retail food establishment owned and operated by a producer and permitted under chapter 11-50, Hawaii administrative rules, that prepares and serves food at retail using products grown in Hawaii and value-added products that were produced using agricultural products grown in Hawaii; <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(D) A farmers&#8217; market, which is an outdoor market limited to producers selling agricultural products grown in Hawaii and value-added products that were produced using agricultural products grown in Hawaii; and <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>(E) A food hub, which is a facility that may contain a commercial kitchen and provides for the storage, processing, distribution, and sale of agricultural products grown in Hawaii and value-added products that were produced using agricultural products grown in Hawaii.
