What would MLK think of Honolulu’s Mayor Kirk Caldwell’s \u00a0Persecution of the Poor \u00a0and \u00a0Civil & \u00a0Free Speech Rights today?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The houseless<\/a> people continue to be harassed<\/a> and penalized.<\/p>\n

Citizens who push back are exposed to the Mayor’s strong arm tactics of raiding<\/a> free speech signs and bullying in the courts, courtesy of \u00a0the city’s scarce fiscal resources.<\/p>\n

Is Honolulu any better than the \u00a0Montgomery, Alabama of 1955 where those in office abused their power and bulldozed over civil rights because they could?<\/p>\n

The physical segregation of race may appear to be over . But the segregation of \u00a0social classes – the rich <\/a>& powerful versus the poor<\/a>\u00a0& the unconnected<\/a> \u00a0– remains very problematic.<\/a><\/p>\n

Many<\/a> are involved in the fight for justice and equality in Hawaii.<\/p>\n

As MLK said,<\/p>\n

” Injustice \u00a0anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.”<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A\u00a0 just cause<\/a> needs many helping hands and willing hearts!<\/p>\n

Every one is needed.<\/p>\n
